Reminder: Annual Human Resources Training Deadline is today!

As of Tuesday, December 3rd, we had a completion rate of 72%. Please complete the mandatory annual HR trainings by close of business today. 

Required Annual Human Resources Employee Trainings:  It is the expectation of the College that all employees fulfill the annual mandatory training requirements. Successfully and fully completing all required trainings is required for all employees – including full-time, part-time and adjunct employees.

Training materials are prepared pursuant to New York State law, SUNY policy, and MCC policy and include the following: 

  • Sexual Harassment Response and Prevention Training, including Title IX Training
  • Workplace Violence Response and Prevention
  • Keeping Children Safe on Campus
  • Title VI Civil Rights Training (if not already completed separately)

All employees (including full-time, part-time and adjuncts) must fulfill annual training requirements by completing required trainings online via Brightspace.  Mandatory HR trainings are expected to be completed at time of hire and once per year thereafter.   

Access:  Log into Brightspace using the instructions below to complete the required training.

  1. Log into the myMCC portal with your MCC credentials.
  2. Click on the Brightspace tile once you reach the myMCC portal.
  3. Navigate to the "Professional Development" tab under “My Courses.”
  4. Click on Mandatory HR Compliance Training.
  5. Complete the required training modules with an 80% or higher on each assessment.
  6. Brightspace will send out regular reminders to those who have not fully completed all required trainings. 
  7. If you are having trouble accessing or using Brightspace, please contact the SUNY Online Help Desk at 1-844-673-6786.
